Bitches works with your coaching or training groups to create a custom training plan for her time with your league or team. While Bitches trains basic skills at her home league, most leagues hire her to work on improving their game as a team. There are plenty of coaches, even those from outside derby, who can help your skaters improve their skate skills. To get the most out of Bitches’ training, it is best for the majority of participants to have at least some interleague bout experience.

Bitches creates custom material to address the unique needs of your skaters, teams, and leagues. Video and white board sessions as well as on-skates implementation will help take your play to the strategical level you’re looking for.

What people have said about Bitches Bruze as a coach:

I enjoyed the shit out of your clinic at RC! You are a tremendous coach 🙂
– an NHRD Rollerconsolation IV participant

You are a derby genius. You not only understand the game – you also break it down and explain it very clearly – you explain the how and the why – you also have a way of “planting a seed” in people’s heads. And you’re pretty laid back and very very cool. If every skater comes away from your training like I did – then the derby world is in trouble.
Marla Stinger – Jammer/Pivot/Coach Magnolia Roller Vixens

Bitches’ viewpoints and assessment of where your team stands is incredibly refreshing and that you will be like a whole new team when she leaves.
– Kimbeaux Spice, Blocker Magnolia Roller Vixens

Thnx for the great practices this past week! And thnx for getting me to realize that not all tactics are bad =D I learned a lot! You’re a great coach and a great person ? – Gina Gasolina, Jammer/Blocker/Pivot Eastside Rollers

“…huge thanks to coming over here and definitely let us know if you get to come back next year 🙂  I think you gave us a needed injection of enthusiasm!” – Ma Baker Jammer/Blocker/Pivot/Coach Eastside Rollers

Promise of Derby Coaching Team

Often a guest coaching practice benefits not from an individual coach but from a team of coaches who work together to present, demonstrate, assess and provide feedback to skaters. While Bitches is the main organizer for coaching engagements, her coaching mates include Will Jettison (Dirty Dozen, Capital District Trauma Authority) and Don’t Care Bear (Garden State Rollergirls, Elm City Derby Damez, NJ Hellrazors) to meet each league’s requirements.

Publications

I am working on a number of roller derby publications including a comprehensive book on play and strategy.

As I coach, I develop visual training, handouts and notes. Soon I’ll be making some of these materials available for sale on this site with payment through PayPal.
